There are many signs that can be recognizable as pregnancy symptoms. The fact that they can be confused for other symptoms is misleading and the women can suspect some ailment, totally different from the pregnancy. The earliest signs are usually the morning sickness and missing a period.
When you miss a period, it can be a clear sign of pregnancy. But there may be other reasons, too. Usually, factors as stress, weight fluctuations or giving up on some contraceptive pills, can lead to this. You must associate this sign with others to know if you are pregnant.
A feeling of tenderness in the breasts can be a sign of pregnancy. This is also an early symptom. Because the body gets ready for breastfeeding, the breasts transform inside and you feel them very sensitive. This sensation usually disappears in a few weeks.
The morning sickness is very well known. The pregnant woman feels sick and nauseated a few weeks from the conception date and these sensations usually give up in intensity towards the final of the first trimester of pregnancy.
It is not at all unusual that the pregnant woman feels tired almost all the time. As well as other pregnancy symptoms, it can be a sign for something else.
The transformations in the woman's body are normal. You may notice a darkening of the areola, which can happen all throughout the pregnancy. It is also a common sign of pregnancy.
The need to urinate frequently is a symptom of pregnancy, but it is not always the case. Many pregnant woman experience it, though. What happens is that the uterus must get bigger and it presses on the bladder which leads to frequent urination. Also, the progesterone hormone produced by the woman's body sends signals to the bladder, making it feel full, even if it is not. This can become quite annoying in time.
Another symptom of pregnancy is the change that happens in taste and smell. It is well known that pregnant women have a craving for some foods, while others cannot eat other foods. A strange metallic taste can be also experienced.
Constipation can happen a lot during pregnancy and it can also be a sign.
Even if you experience one or more of these symptoms, it is advisable to see if you are really pregnancy. There are some methods that you can use to find out for sure.
One method is the home pregnancy test. Such tests can be bought from any drugstore. If the test confirms your suspicions, you must see the doctor so you can receive the proper medical care you need.
You can also take an office urine test that, as well as the home pregnancy test, detects the level of HHG in your urine. The difference is that this test does not need for you to use the first urine in the morning, so it is more comfortable.
A blood test is always a good way to find out if you are pregnant. This test can be run by your doctor and it also detects the level of HHG, but in your blood. This test is very useful as it gives your doctor information about your pregnancy, as if there is a risk for miscarriage or unusual pregnancy.
The internal exam is the ultimate way to confirm your pregnancy. This is done six weeks from the conception date and it is performed by your doctor.
