All the time there are those companies out there who want to focus on every kind of marketing that they can find. They will get some brochures made up while simultaneously designing flyers to send out with some booklets on the side just in case. The idea behind an approach like this is to attempt to target every type of customer possible by focusing on every kind of marketing technique at the same time. This can be a wonderful idea if you have a bottomless pool of money to dive into whenever you want, but few companies can muster such a generous sum dedicated solely to marketing. What this means is that you get companies who end up with a lot of poorly constructed and half-finished marketing techniques that are not going to be nearly as effective. They will hand out poorly worded messages that do not have the same pull of a piece of marketing that had a lot of time and attention given to it. If you plan on using a specific form of marketing, give it your undivided attention until you have it fully completed and handed out. If poster printing is your first form of marketing that you plan on focusing on, take the needed time to figure out exactly what kind of imagery and message you want to send. Study your customers to see what it is they are looking for. Figure out the best locations to put your posters up, the number of posters you will need, and the length of the marketing campaign you plan on using. Take all that time you were planning to spend working on three forms of marketing and focus all of it on a single form. You might not be able to target quite as many people, but what you will end up with is a piece of marketing that is much more likely to get people interested. I know about the temptation to always look ahead to the next thing you need to get done. Multitasking has become the law of the land for most areas of business, but that does not mean you cannot set everything else aside for just a little while in order to generate a truly wonderful piece of marketing. Trust me, that extra time and attention is going to be clearly present in the final product that you send out to the customers to look at. Any piece of marketing is only going to be as good as the effort that was put into it. Do not expect to get any sales with poster printing if you throw it haphazardly together. Even the best form of marketing will fall flat if it isnt fleshed out properly before being used. Make sure this does not happen to your marketing material.
