Electric powered cars are considered one of the greenest forms of transport, mainly because they don't produce any unpleasant gases, and they are also a lot quieter than conventional vehicles powered by internal combustion engines. Usually however, their range is limited by the amount of power that can be stored in their batteries. Also, many environmentalists argue that although the car itself has a small carbon footprint, the same can't be said of the power plant which generates the electricity in the first place.
