The Associated Press has informed many of us about prescription drugs in drinking water samples taken from all over the country. In order to better understand the potential risk to human health, researchers have looked at what effect some of the drugs in the drinking water samples have on cell lines in the laboratory.Others base their assumptions on "acceptable daily intakes" established by pharmaceutical companies. What I don't understand is how there can be an acceptable daily intake of an unneeded drug.
